Student Conference

Student Conference30 of June 2010 at the initiative of the International Centre for geopolitical Studies the student’s conference held at the Ivane Javakhishvili Tbilisi State University. The topics of the conference were: "The local elections 2010 and its results", and the summing of results of the project "Improvement of Students’ Civil Awareness in Terms of Elections".

The student’s reports from Ivane Javakhishvili Tbilisi State University, Caucasus University, and Tbilisi Technical University were presented at the conference.

Students, who were actively participated at the meetings and presented the best reports, were given special certificates. The certificates were given to:

  • David Namtalashvili (TSU);
  • Tatia Kopaleishvili (TSU);
  • Demetre Egnatashvili (TSU);
  • Nino Parsadanishvili (TSU);
  • Gvanca Bojadze (TTU).

The certificates were given by Giorge Khubua (Rector of TSU) and Nato Bachiashvili ( ICGS, Project director)

At the end of the meeting held the summing results of the project "Improvement of Students’ Civil Awareness in Terms of Elections", also were discussed activities during the project. After the project coordinator and students’ assessment, the University Rector George Khubua discussed the project importance. He emphasized that an interesting form of collaboration between International Centre for Geopolitical Studies and Ivane Javakhishvili Tbilisi State University was found. This particular project played an important role in improvement the students’ civil awareness and a political culture. The University Rector noticed that he greets such kind of projects fulfillment in the TSU, for the students to be more actively involved in it.

The meeting was the last event of the project "Improvement of Students’ Civil Awareness in Terms of Elections"of international Centre for Geopolitical Studies.
