Lithuanian electoral processes and the problem voter inducement

5 of May 2010 at the initiative of the International Centre for geopolitical Studies the students meeting with Dr. Nerijus Maliukevichus  head of Institute of International Relations and Political Science (Vilnius University) took place at the Ivane Javakhishvili Tbilisi state  University. The topic of the meeting was "Lithuanian electoral processes and the problem voter inducement".

Students of the Ivane Javakhishvili Tbilisi State University, Ilia State University and Georgian Institute of Public Affairs attended the presentation.

History of elections in Lithuania, electoral landscape, latest electoral trends, and voter turnout trends, the problem voter inducement and the examples of voter inducement projects in Lithuania were discussed at the meeting.

After the presentation Nerijus Maliukevichus answered at the student’s questions and the discussion was held.

The meeting was convened within the framework of the project "Improvement of Students’ CiviAwareness in Terms of Elections" of international Centre for Geopolitical Studies.
