"Security Barometer" – press conference in the Ukraine

On 19 of October press conference on the second part of the project "Security Barometer Monitoring and Early Warning Analysis of Regional Threats to Stability and Security in Ukraine and Georgia" was held in Kiev. Analysts UIPP and the International Centre for Geopolitical Studies (Georgia) presented the results of the second phase of the study.

The second publication "Security Barometer" contains monitoring and analysis of developments in various sectors of the security of Ukraine and Georgia in the period May-August this year and allows us to trace the

 

Trainings on National Security Issues

Trainings on National Security Issues

Training for employees of MIA Georgia on National Security issues has begun at the International Centre for Geopolitical Studies. Students will take a course of lectures on "Geopolitics", "Negotiation Skills", "Conflicts and Diplomacy", "Intelligence Theory", "Political Risk Analysis", as well as on "Research Methodology and Presentation Skills".

At the end of the trainings Certificates of achievement and Diplomas of Graduation with honors will be issued.

On 20-21th June 2012 at the initiative of International Centre for Geopolitical Studies (ICGS)  seminar for representatives of local Municipalities "NATO Policies and Agenda" held in the NATO Liaison Office in Georgia.

The Seminar has opened by welcome remarks of William Lahue - Head of NATO Liaison Office in Georgia and Tengiz Pkhaladze – Chairman of ICGS Georgia; As a speakers at the Seminar were invited Jonas Paslauskas - Ambassador of the Republic of Lithuania in Georgia, James Mackey,

   

Closing Ceremony of the Peace-building Project "Together!"

Closing Ceremony of the Peace-building Project "Together!"On 16th June 2012 at the Business Centre "KALASI" the final presentation and the closing ceremony of the peace-building project "Together!"organized by "International Centre for Geopolitical Studies" was held. The project was implemented by non-governmental organisations "European Integration", "Society for Humanitarian Research" and "National Diplomacy Institute" with assistance of US Government will take place in Tbilisi, Georgia.

The second stage of the project "The School Children – Juvenile’s Rights and Responsibilities" has been completed.

In the framework of this part of the project 33 000 unites of books "My Rights and Responsibilities" were printed by International Centre for Geopolitical studies. Books were distributed among the schoolchildren of public Schools of Tbilisi, Kutaisi, Batumi, Poti, Zugdidi, Akhaltsikhe, Gori, Mtskheta, Telavi, Gurjaani, Sagrejo, Kvareli, Rustavi etc.

Project "International experience in reforming the State Automobile Inspectorate. Acceptability and alternatives for the Ukraine."Georgian Experience in Fighting Against Corruption

During the 27-30 of November 2011 the study visit of representatives of Ukrainian "Rada", MIA Ukraine, Ukrainian NGO-s and Media held in Georgia. The organizer of study visit activities was International Centre for Geopolitical studies (Georgia). This visit was a part of the project "International experience in reforming the State Automobile Inspectorate. Acceptability and alternatives for the Ukraine." Project initiator - Ukrainian special Board of fighting against corruption, project partner from Georgian side - International Centre for Geopolitical Studies (ICGS).

   

Project - "The School Children – Juvenile’s Rights and Responsibilities"

Project - "The School Children – Juvenile’s Rights and Responsibilities"On 17 of October 2011 International Centre for Geopolitical Studies presented the new book "My rights and responsibilities" to the senior students of №157 public school.  The book was published at the framework of the project "The School Children – Juvenile’s Rights and Responsibilities", and intended for young students of 14-18 ages.

The Minister of Education and Science of Georgia Mr. Dimitri Shashkin, and the head of academy of the Ministry of Internal Affairs, Mrs. Khatia Dekanoidze were attending the presentation.
